The Life of Apryle Harrison

Apryle sat on the computer and just finished taking her final picture of herself. “I love my camera my mother gave me, and taking pictures.” Apryle said smiling.
Apryle Nichole Harrison was born in Nassau Bay, Texas July 12, 1988 to her mother Wanda Gayle Harrison and father Michael Antonio Harrison. She has two brother’s one half brother and one sister. Apryle was born with a condition named Ontogenesis Imperfecta which is basically a brittle bone disease.” The one reason I don’t mind having this condition is because my sclera is blue”. Apryle said. Even though as a child Apryle has broken over 5 bones she has not let that stop her from enjoying life.

Apryle has been in many activities throughout her life. Every since she was younger she has always been busy. When she was 5 she joined the church choir and her elementary choir. She was co-captain of the cheerleading squad Super Mustangs at the age of six. In middle school she was a dancer, pep squad co-captain, twirler and the morning announcement person. In high school she was in the choir, a twirler, freshman duchess, homeroom ambassador, and she was the class treasurer. So through the ages of 5 and 18 Apryle has been a busy body.

At the age of 18 Apryle was accepted into the prestigious HBCU Clark Atlanta University. Clark was the only university that she applied too. “I was determined to go to Clark, and I knew I was going to get accepted.” Apryle said. Apryle loves Clark due to the fact that it’s in Atlanta, Ga. And of all the historic black events that be going on. “There is so much history within the school and it is so exciting”. Said Apryle.

As I was interviewing Apryle she got up to change the channel because Hannah Montano went off and she went across the talking of the 2008 election. Apryle then started talking about how she wants Obama to win but do not mind if Clinton wins. “The fact of an African American or a woman winning would do the world right.” Apryle said.
She also quoted, “I do not like the fact how Obama and Clinton keeps arguing when they should be on the same team.” “But in essence the 2008 election should be a one to remember”

Apryle’s goals in life are just like any other person in college. She wants to graduate with honors and go to grad school. She is not for sure what grad school she wants to go to though. She is hoping to get an intern before this summer so she can get a head start on her career in the media world.
